Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to know about our fresh meals.

Child eating a Ready to Grow meal
Are the jars part of a deposit scheme? +
No — we made this choice to avoid any bacteriological risk. That said, the jars are great for reuse. Find reuse ideas in the highlighted story on our Instagram.
Can I travel with Ready to Grow meals? +
Yes, including by plane. Bring a cool bag with an ice pack to keep the cold chain during the journey.
Can I freeze the meals? +
Yes. Before freezing, open and close the lid to release the vacuum seal — this prevents the jar from cracking. Recommended maximum: 3 to 6 months.

To defrost: in the fridge, in a bain-marie, or in the microwave. Don’t leave a frozen meal at room temperature for too long.
Can I give your meals to my baby before 6 months? +
Every child has their own pace. If your baby is well into starting solids and has already tried every ingredient listed on the label, they can eat them. If in doubt, your paediatrician is the best person to ask.

To learn more about starting solids, see our free guide.
Is there a risk of finding a lump in a meal labelled “smooth texture”? +
It’s rare, but despite all the checks we put in place, zero risk doesn’t exist. Not with us, and not with homemade meals either. Always stay attentive to every bite you give your child.
Why are some meals not recommended before 8 months? +
This is the case for our Broccoli, Pea & Chickpea meal. Legumes contain fermentable fibres that can irritate babies’ still-immature intestines. Several paediatric nutrition guidelines recommend introducing them from around 8 months. Some paediatricians are less restrictive — ask yours for advice.
Can I give the Beef Parmentier before 12 months? +
Yes, if your child is already used to small chunks. The 12-month label refers to the presence of small beef chunks, not a restriction on the ingredients themselves.
Can older children eat your meals too? +
Yes. Our Kids Food meals go up to 7 years. And the Baby Food range can also serve as a vegetable base to build on: with pasta, chicken, lentils or chickpeas. Our Fruit Mix range works as a snack at any age.
My child has allergies — are your meals suitable? +
Some meals contain allergens (celeriac, gluten). Ingredients are listed on every label. Read them carefully before any introduction. If there’s a confirmed allergy, consult your paediatrician or allergist.
Are new flavours coming? +
Yes. Launching a new meal for young children takes time — research, testing, nutritional validation. Follow us on Instagram to be the first to know.
